Coinbase’s Base Abandons Social-First Strategy and Refocuses on Trading and Stablecoin Payments

Base creator Jesse Pollak handed Base App leadership back to Coinbase, with Jordan Fish, known as Cobie, taking charge of the app team. Pollak will remain focused on the Base blockchain and said its priorities will shift from on-chain social products toward trading, stablecoin payments and AI-agent transactions.
