TSMC’s AI engine accelerates: $40.2B quarter, 66% HPC mix and a sharply higher Q3 guide

TSMC reported second-quarter revenue of $40.20 billion, up 33.7% year over year, with net income rising 77.4% to NT$706.56 billion. High-performance computing expanded to 66% of revenue from 60% a year earlier, while advanced nodes accounted for 77% of wafer revenue. TSMC guided third-quarter revenue to $44.6 billion–$45.8 billion and gross margin to 65%–67%. Management also raised its expected 2026 revenue-growth rate to slightly above 40%, according to AP, while maintaining the previously announced $52 billion–$56 billion capital-spending range.
