Apple Music Raises U.S. Family Price 18%, Blaming Higher Licensing Costs
Apple raised Apple Music subscription prices worldwide effective July 17, its first broad increase since 2022. In the U.S., Individual rose from $10.99 to $11.99 monthly, Family from $16.99 to $19.99, and Student from $5.99 to $6.99. Apple explicitly attributed the move to rising licensing costs. The Family increase is the largest at roughly 18%, while Apple Music’s Individual plan remains $1 below Spotify’s reported U.S. price.
