Cardano’s Founding Developer Will Hand Core Software to Independent Teams

Input Output announced that it will transfer responsibility for Cardano’s Haskell node, Plutus smart-contract platform, Daedalus wallet, Hydra scaling technology and developer relations to specialist external teams. The transition begins in August 2026 and is expected to continue through 2027, with multiple independent node implementations and community organizations overseeing specifications and review.
