EU imposes record €550 million DSA fine on AliExpress

The European Commission fined AliExpress €550 million—about $629 million—for failing to adequately assess and mitigate the spread of illegal, unsafe and counterfeit goods on its marketplace. The Commission characterized it as the largest Digital Services Act penalty to date and ordered corrective action.
